First of all:

SURU STUDIOS wishes all of you a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year! We hope that you enjoy the most beautiful time of the year and take a little time off from the stressful everyday life.

Speaking of stress. Today is the last day before Christmas and the last errands are in full swing. Christmas is known to be the festival of love and peace but meanwhile these are not the only things the holiday is about. In the course of time, Christmas has truly developed into the festival of consumption. We hunt for suitable gifts for people who already have everything. We struggle through crowded stores and spend our money to online giants. The Christmas holidays can really bring a lot of stress and overwhelm. Especially for those who worry about the health of our planet and the climate. An infinite number of goods are produced, shipped around the world and exchanged again after the holidays. These are things that have a great impact on our climate and are anything but sustainable. In this blog post you can find out what you can do to counteract this misery.

SLOW Christmas

All too often, Christmas is anything but peaceful: The time of the great shopping is here, and many people stray through the streets and overcrowded stores. Out of sheer stress, thoughtlessly chose gifts are bought at the last second. As you may notice Christmas is the most full-on time of the year in many regards. That’s why it is up to all of us to take a step back and focus on what’s really important. That’s where sustainability, minimalism and slow living come into play. What about timeless gifts without an expiration date and things that can be repaired quickly and easily? Sustainable giving stands for long-lasting joy with the gift and is therefore much better than purchasing out of the impulse.

Our SURU products offer all these important attributes and are created with the idea of being loved and used for a long time. It was important to us to incorporate the concept of slow and sustainable clothing into our brand identity and to only produce timeless basics made out of organic fibers. We want to set a good example and continue to work on making the fashion industry more sustainable and conscious in the New Year 2022. Thank you for being part of our journey!

PS: Speaking of the New Year – our next blog post is all about sustainable New Year’s resolutions. Stay tuned!

It is up to us to create a better future. Let’s start together: SURU “The beginning” is now!
